The Role:

We are looking for a tenacious, tech-savvy, and highly-motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our rapidly growing sales team based out of our Hyderabad office.

Your primary objective will be to identify, prospect, and qualify high-potential accounts within major Retail, E-commerce, and Customer-Facing Businesses across India and Australia.

You will be engaging with senior decision-makers (Chief Growth Officers, VP of Marketing, CX Directors) in organizations where customer data is vast but often siloed. To succeed, you must manage your time effectively across different time zones and articulate how Zithara.ai solves complex challenges like customer churn, increasing Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and the need for AI-driven personalization at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Outbound Prospecting: Build, research, and segment target lists of enterprise and mid-market accounts within Retail, E-commerce, QSR, Hospitality, and consumer-facing BFSI sectors across the India and Australia regions.

  • Multi-Channel Outreach & Time Zone Management: Execute coordinated outreach cadences using a strategic mix of personalised emails, social selling (LinkedIn), and confident cold calling. You will need to align your working hours effectively to maximize engagement in both the Indian and Australian business days.

  • Value-Based Conversations: Engage with senior retail leaders to discuss their business-level metrics (conversion rate, average order value, repeat purchase rate) and introduce Zithara.ai as the strategic solution.

  • Lead Qualification: Meticulously qualify inbound leads and prospect-initiated interest, ensuring every meeting booked for our Account Executives (AEs) meets strict definition of qualification (pain, authority, need, and timeline).

  • A/B Testing & Optimization: Continuously test and optimize email subject lines, call scripts, and LinkedIn outreach messaging to maximize engagement and conversion rates in different regional markets.

  • CRM Discipline: Document all sales activities, contacts, and opportunity data meticulously in our CRM ([Insert CRM Name, e.g., HubSpot/Salesforce]).

  • Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing to refine messaging for the retail sector and with AEs to ensure seamless handoffs and high-quality meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1–3 years of outbound sales development or lead generation experience in B2B SaaS. Exposure to the Retail or E-commerce technology landscape is a significant advantage.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills. You must write compelling, differentiated emails and be comfortable navigating objection-heavy phone conversations with C-level executives.

  • Time Zone Flexibility: Proven ability to manage work hours effectively to cover early morning or late evening shifts required for the Australian market (AEST/AWST) and regular Indian business hours (IST).

  • Tech Stack Proficiency: Skilled use of the modern sales stack (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Apollo.io, or equivalent tools).

  • Resilience & Performance Mindset: Unwavering positivity, a high rejection tolerance, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance quotas (pipeline generation).

  • Location: Residing in or willing to relocate to Hyderabad, India.
